The Florida Center for Partnerships in Arts Integrated Teaching (PAInT), in partnership with the Manatee Arts Education Council, were proud to bring creatED®, Arts Integration Professional Learning presented by Crayola, to the School District of Manatee County to present a professional development workshop for the SDMC Coaching Academy. The Coaching Academy is comprised of curriculum and instruction directors, specialists, and coaches in K-12 language arts, math, social studies, and science.
creatED® is a highly interactive program where presenters draw upon attendees’ expertise and insights. Designed to inspire deeper thinking around multiliteracies, our Coaching Academy explored the parallels between visual, written, and mathematical literacies.Through hands-on creative experiences, attendees had opportunities to express ideas visually, engage in collegial conversations, and see what others think. Student application idea starters were explored to help students decode art, explore their leadership potential, and empower them to overcome challenges.
